It helps ensure uninterrupted operation and protection against device power supply failures by providing seamless failover for Linksys One Ready L2+ Stackable Switches and Network Storage System devices. The failover behavior for the RPS is “first-come, first-served.”
When a failure is detected, the RPS1000 provides power to the failed device instantaneously such that the attached device does not suffer loss of functionality or reboot. Additionally, the affected Switch logs the power supply failure event in its local log file as well as to a central event manager via SNMP traps or Syslog messages.
The system supports NSS4000/NSS4100 4-Bay and NSS6000/NSS6100 4-Bay Advanced Network Storage System devices and SFE2000/SFE2000P Stackable 10/100 Ethernet and SGE2000/SGE2000P Stackable 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet switches. The RPS1000 automatically delivers the appropriate amount of power to the attached device. RPS1000 has a maximum capabity of 380W making it sufficient to deliver power to any of these attached devices without any loss of functionality.
